Over the last 15 years I’ve been a Mountain Leader delivering adventure training to both military and civilian groups – leading individual and group treks of all ages and abilities to some of the most incredible parts of the world.
Mountains are my passion, along with helping individuals reach their goals and ultimately succeed in whatever challenge they’ve set themselves.

I’ve had a full career in the British Armed Forces, serving with Airborne Forces and finishing as a Sergeant Major and Warrant Officer Class 1. I’m a strong motivator and understand that every individual has what it takes to reach their own summit – it sometimes just requires a patient approach and some coaching to help them along the way.

During my last two years of service I worked within the British Army’s initial training group, overseeing the development of mental and physical robustness, welfare, wellbeing and standards of training.

My advice to anyone is to live every moment. And remember, there are some places on the earth that are held only for those who choose to leave their comfort zone.

I spent 12 highly successful years in the military, specialising as a Commando and British Army Diver. I had the privilege to serve in Iraq & Kosovo, & worked globally on a range of operational tasks alongside some very inspirational people.
During my time in the Army, I became a training instructor, taking new entrants on their journey from civilian to soldier. Much of my Mountain Leader experience was gained during my service, leading expeditions in South Africa, Egypt the Italian Dolomites & Canada.

After leaving the military, I established myself as a Ultra Runner, successfully completing some of the toughest races in the world including, The Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc, Lavaredo Ultra, Gobi March & Sahara Race to name but a few.
I have lived and breathed the outdoor life since a very early age. I am an experienced sea kayaker, snowboarder, freediver, mountaineer and SUP Instructor. My number 1 passion is striving to design & share new adventurous outdoor opportunities and to help people further develop their skills.

I am originally from Glasgow and have spent most of my life clambering over hills and mountains from Scotland to Tasmania! In 2022 I achieved my UK Summer Mountain Leader qualification, that I'd been (unconsciously) working towards since I was a kid!
I spent 9 years as an Officer in the Royal Marines, taking me all over the world, including the Cold Weather Warfare Course in Norway, multiple mountain training packages and finishing up with a tour in the Middle East. I loved every minute of my time in the Corps. Having the privilege of leading Royal Marines & being led by some incredible role models has definitely shaped my outlook on life!

I love anything to do with the outdoors, whether on the road bike, running or in/on the water.

I am looking forward to sharing my passion for the mountains and hope to inspire more people to enjoy them responsibly!
